Join us for the sixth leg of the 2017 Event Rider Masters Series, live from The Blair Castle Equi-Trek International Horse Trials
Blair Castle stands near the village of Blair Atholl in Perthshire. The ancestral home of the Clan Murray and historically the seat of their chief, the Duke of Atholl, the castle is in Glen Garry and is the focal point in a designed landscape of some 2,500 acres. Within the 18th Century walled Hercules Garden, a delightful sculpture trail incorporates contemporary and 18th century sculpture, and Diana’s Grove, a magnificent stand of tall trees including Grand Fir, Douglas Fir, Larch and Wellingtonia.
The Event Rider Masters cross country runs through the gardens, just a stone’s throw from the castle walls, and the magnificent setting and tough undulations make an impressive backdrop for the world’s best riders to stake their challenge for the Masters title.
As well as the Event Rider Masters, Blair hosts a wide range of additional competitions across four days, with more than 1,200 horses and ponies competing at Blair every year. On Saturday and Sunday there is also a traditional Country Fair with entertainment for all the family.
